We started the journey of flight and displacement from one part of Syria to another since I was six years old. The war took everything from us. At first we thought it would be over in weeks…months…or maybe a year. But she did not leave us. The siege came to our city, and with it fear, hunger, and everything that could burn the heart of a young man like me. Despite all that, the childhood inside me kept trying to resist. Until ISIS men entered the city after they had killed a lot to arrest me, my mother and all the rest. Can my childhood resist? Can I reach hope in spite of all that surrounds me? I don't have a specific name. I am just every Syrian child who has experienced all this and is still searching for hope. This book is a cry from us, the children, to the world - a world in whose darkness we can reach light, and in its darkness we can find hope. Product Code: 9789923120415
