Description
- "Sofah", "Kattan", "Dodo" and "Kafkouf" are four dolls who live together in their dollhouse. One morning, Harhour wakes up early and finds it pitch dark, and everyone is still asleep, so he goes back to sleep. After a while, "Kafkouf" wakes up from his sleep and finds the room dark, and he cannot know the weather because of the darkness. Everyone tries to sit at the table to have breakfast, and an argument begins between the four friends as each one of them tries to prove his ownership of one of the three chairs surrounding the table; and thus his right to sit on it.
- This continues until "Harhour" passes by and asks them about their number and the number of chairs around the table, and at that moment everyone realizes that there is a missing chair, and it is brought and the problem is solved. Finally, while the four friends are eating breakfast, "Harhour" takes advantage of their preoccupation with their disagreements as usual, and licks the milk that spilled from "Sofah's" cup on the floor.
- "Morning of the Dolls" is a funny story from Latvian children's literature that helps parents teach their children "table manners", encourage them to eat breakfast, and then convince them of the necessity of eating certain types of food for their growth.
