- The young man (Abdul Latif) leaves Baghdad dreaming of glory and fame, moving through countries, standing at every flagpole, and drinking from every water, until he ends up in Egypt. But as soon as he settles in Egypt and works in the largest hospital there, a major earthquake occurs that destroys most of its historical buildings, and only the pyramids survive.

The plague spreads, people begin to die, corpses spread, the Black Death dominates and controls the course of events, a moral dilemma appears among Egypt's doctors, should they save the young and leave the elderly to their fate?
