Description

Reversi is a strategy board game for two players

Box contents:
  • 1 wooden game platform
  • 64 black and white double-sided game stones
How to play reversi?
  • Reversi is played with special stones.
  • One side of these stones is black and the other side is white.
  • Initially, white and black stones are placed on the four squares in the middle of the game platform, respectively.
  • If the player is to make a move, he must place a piece facing his own color.
  • The player cannot put his stone anywhere. Players must capture one or more of the opponent's pieces in each move.
  • If there are pieces belonging to the opponent between the part where one of the sides put a piece and the pieces belonging to him, they also change color and take the color of the player's piece.
  • Captured pieces turn over (change color) and become the player's own piece.
  • While doing this, pieces of their own color must be in the same row, diagonally, vertically or horizontally.
  • If the player is unable to capture any of the opponent's pieces in the current situation, it is the opponent's turn to move.
  • The most important move to win in the game is to place your pieces on the corners.
  • The more corners you have, the higher your chances of winning.
  • However, this does not necessarily mean that the one who gets the four corners wins the game.
  • In order to place a stone in the corner, it is necessary to make the preparatory moves carefully from the first move.
  • Although the preparatory moves are made with different techniques for each player, in general, pieces are started to be placed without overflowing the 16 squares in the middle.
  • At the end of the game, the player who has more stones on the game platform wins the game.
