And for the day of Ta'if, when I was not there to shield you from the stones with my chest! And for the day of Khadijah's passing, when I was not there to wipe away your tears and say to you: I am your ransom! And for the day of Uhud, when I was not there and you wiped blood from your noble face to endure that blow! And for the shoulder of the poisoned sheep, when I was not there to protect you from it! All this because I believed in you without seeing you, because I trusted you without hearing from you, and because I loved you without beholding you. By my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
