We left our homelands because they are devoid of safety, even though they are abundant with weapons. In our childhood, we used to think that weapons were found to protect us, to protect people from evildoers. But when we grew up a little, we grew through misfortunes, disasters, and famines, not with the passage of time. Weapons multiplied and became in our hands, in the hands of adults. From us, it brings us evils, brings us hunger, demolishes our homes, and exterminates those we love. It is this weapon that destroyed my country, and is behind the ruin of all nations.
