The Prince of Poets Ahmed Shawky wrote many wonderful poems for children and young adults. The poet Ahmed Swailem collected it in this book and issued it with a comprehensive introduction about the Prince of Poets, these poems and their history, and then divided them into three chapters:
The first: In it he presented a selection of Shawqi’s poems (for adults), which he proved in his poetry and believed that they are suitable to be presented for this age stage, because of their simplicity of rhythm, closeness of meaning, and the association of some of them with the national sense.
The second: He presented in it various songs written by Shawqi and suitable for the young reader to repeat, and they contain descriptions and meanings that suit their mental level.
The third: In it he presented everything related to the animal, including pieces and rulings.
Thus, these poems are collected for the first time in one book for the readers to enjoy
