- Lucy Foley studied English literature at Durham University and University College London, and worked as a published literary editor for several years before devoting himself to writing full time. The novel “The Hunting Party” is the first crime novel she writes, and it was inspired by a remote place that sparked her imagination in Scotland, and then she followed it up with a distinguished novel, which is The Guest List.
