Youssef Zeidan; A distinguished Egyptian thinker and novelist, he holds a professorship in philosophy, history and science. He has published more than sixty books so far.

His works have won numerous international awards; (Abdul Hamid Shoman) Prize for Young Arab Scientists (Jordan), the Prize of the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (Kuwait), the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences Prize in the field of medical jurisprudence and the origins of the art of manuscript investigation.. His most famous novel (Azazel) won several international awards; The Arab Booker Prize 2009, the Anobi Prize 2012, and the Banipal Prize 2013.

Dar Al-Shorouk has published a number of books and creative works by him, including the novel Shadow of the Snake, Azazel, Nabati, Mahal, Guantanamo, Nour, and his novels have topped the list of best-selling books since their publication until now.
