Description
The book “Al Badaa’ wa Al Tara’if” includes a group of literary articles with a philosophical and mystical dimension that investigates the areas of beauty, whether in the idea or in the word that expresses it. He analyzes the human soul into its subjective elements, and takes his words as a guide for that soul, which he calls upon not to take into account the phenomena of things without relying on their essence. Then he looks at his homeland Lebanon with the vision of a poet who embodies beauty verbally in what he loves, away from political visions governed by the language of rivalry and conflict. His book deals with the flags that illuminated the junction of the East with their knowledge: Ibn Sina, Ibn Al-Farid, and Imam Al-Ghazali. He also talks about the future of the Arabic language, and the most prominent challenges it faces in light of the cycle of thought between the old and the new, and he ends his book with a number of poems that utter his spiritual philosophy.
