The man hears the children's wish, lowers the city, and extends a rope. The children take the rope and enter the painting, finding themselves at the heart of Jerusalem, specifically at the Damascus Gate (Bab Al-Amoud). They embark on an unforgettable tour through the old markets and historical sites, from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to the Dome of the Rock. They run through narrow alleys, play hide-and-seek and football with new friends, and taste delicious Jerusalem ka'ak and sweets. As the sun sets, the children realize it's time to return. They exit through the hidden gate, but this time they carry the city's sounds, flavors, and scents in their hearts. When Jamel Al-Mahamel sees them, he bends to lift the city again, surprised to find it lighter. He soon realizes the children now carry a piece of Jerusalem within them, just as he does. This story highlights the hidden gate to Jerusalem through the painting, the children's journey of exploration, the deep connection between people and place, the power of carrying memories, and the story's ability to spread hope and connection.
